The Cape Ann Light Station on Thacher Island, off Cape Ann in Rockport, Massachusetts, is nationally significant as the last light station to be established under colonial rule and the first station in the United States to mark a navigational hazard rather than a harbor entrance.

Visited this light on August 20 2021.
The lighthouses are owned by the Town of Rockport and managed by Thacher Island Association. Grounds open, visitor center in head keeper's dwelling, north tower open.
I did not get a good view of these lights. It was a very hazy morning .
Added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 7 1971. Also recognized as a National Historic Landmark on January 3 2001
